Goulburn Rifle Range is a Wildlife Habitat
Many people don't realize that wildlife is protected on the range and that shooters only shoot at paper or metal targets. The animals seem to gain an understanding of this and it is very common to see kangaroos and birds on the range while we are shooting! You would think that the noise would scare animals away but it doesn't, and they certainly come out at night and eat the grass because they leave a range of droppings -even around the club houses. When you look at the pictures of the range below, it is easy to see how the range offers a habitat to all kinds of animals -from larger mammals to lizards, frogs and yabbies. It is their space and as SSAA target shooters we respect it.
