Today, Saturday 1st August the branch was pleased to host its inaugural 310 Cadet & Trainer shoot. Nine competitors from as far afield as West Wyalong and Sydney attended the match in cool and windy conditions. It was the first opportunity a number of the competitors had to compete in a Cadet & Trainer match and they found obvious enjoyment in the gentle recoil and report of the 310 Cadet and 22 Trainer rifles and their inherrant accuracy. Most competitors showed an improvement in their skills across the 2 matches and a good time was had by all. Special thanks to President Ken Kenchington for his help with the 75m targets and to W.W. for her excellent cake which all attendees enjoyed on the cool morning. We look forward to hosting the coming 310 Cadet & 22 Trainer shoots on Saturday mornings on October 3rd and December 5th and welcome all branch members and any other competitors to attend and compete in these events.
